Spider-Canned Then Rebooted

Reboot Planned For 2012 With New Director And Cast Including Spider-Pillar (kidding)
Don't laugh this could happen, Hollywood is retarded

So yesterday as Im sure most of you heard came the announcement that the end of the Sam Raimi/Toby Maguire Spider-Man era had come. This is due to the fact that the assholes in suits are deciding a reboot is needed slated for a 2012 release date. Now you & I both know Spider-Man 3 was garbage.  A Spider-Man dance routine, WTF were they thinking? Anyways, I digress thats another conversation for another day. Raimi is leaving the franchise after struggling (and losing) for creative control. SM 3 was a clear cut result of that battle. So here we are now with Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios announcing that they are moving forward with a film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises, sound familiar? This is straight bullshit! Besides Batman, Spider-Man has one of the sickest rogues gallery in all of comics. Spider-Man 4 is so much more of a better idea than rebooting. How about finally introducing Dr Curt Connors as the Lizard? They've teased him enough throughout the movies why not? Then give me a Kraven or Electro & Im all set to pass the fuckin popcorn!  I can except new actors or directors but a reboot is just DUMB.

I also came across this article from MTV giving us 5 reasons to look forward to the reboot...

Seriously, reboots are for comics that don't have movies beyond 1986 to show off new technology and Michael Baysplosions.
But seriously: a reboot on a pretty crappy (sorry: hated it) modern movie?! It just doesn't make sense! It's not as if the pre-boot was that good, anyway. What else are they gonna do: a musical?
    Whoops, too late.

I know this has nothing to do with your article... but I am amused and disturbed by caterpillar Spiderman.
