Turtle Power! or How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Infinite Turtles and their Crises
I enjoyed the movie and really liked the contrasts between the various turtles. A lovely friend of mine thought they made the turtles from the old cartoon too goofy and incompetent but I thought they were well represented in this movie. Tokka and Razar did show up but only as brief blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos.
When the old style black and white turtles showed up I expected them to show up the other turtles by straight up taking off Shredder's head then fading away into the night. That didn't happen but they were still pretty gruff and badass like they originally were.
As for the story itself, this was just like one of DC's crisis stories with an alternate universe team meeting its counterpart and teaming up to fight their respective villains. In fact, the scene near the end when new Shredder has the two TMNT teams strapped to his interdimensional portal and showing all the different universes' TMNTs was an inverted version of something from "Infinite Crisis" with Alexander Luthor's multiverse machine that had diferrent superheroes tied up to it. The difference being that Superman was the key to the multiverse not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Heck, they even called the original turtles Turtles Prime!
Anyway, now that it's online you should check it out when you have the time. I highly recommend it.
