Turtles Forever

Not sure how many of you may have seen this but back on Saturday November 21st The CW4Kids debuted the movie Turtles Forever. This was produced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. I must admit that I haven't watched the turtles since the early to mid 1990's. I did catch the last animated movie TMNT which I thought was better than the last live action turtles movie. And yes, despite the Vanilla Ice cameo I very much enjoyed Secret of the Ooze. I loved how the "Roid Rage" Shredder looked at the end too, badass. So back to Turtles Forever, this movie was a trip down memory lane for me. It follows the turtles from the the late 1980's-90's show teamed with the older more serious turtles from the 2003 era. You get multiple incarnations of the Shredder as well as Splinter. You also get appearnces by favorites like Krang, Rocksteady, Bebop, and good old Casey Jones. The movie's climax point takes place in a universe known as "Prime" or the original universe. If this universe is destroyed all ninja turtles in every universe would be erased for good. Luckily this "Prime" universe is protected by the original Eastman and Laird black and white turtles. When these original turtles are confronted by the adult and teenage versions of themselves they first ask "whats with the colored bandanas?". These original turtles almost seem like they're the Clint Eastwoods of ninja turtles who speak with their actions rather than words. After all is restored to normal and each turtle quad is back in their respective universe, we cut to 2 men (actually just hands and a desktop) who are working on a comic book. The book is Eastman and Laird's first TMNT book. This is an actual cameo by the two creators who then break from comic book making for lunch to go get some yup you guessed it, pizza. This is a movie worth picking up on for any TMNT fan, including myself.
